It's been a long time...

I had planned for this blog to be about crafting and creative things...but life has gotten in the way. My new plan is to just write...and be honest. My hope is that no one will read this (or that's what I am telling myself; so I can be more honest). So here we go. I will be back tomorrow...just to write and be open.

First Me Project!

So...usually I am busy creating things for other people, I love giving gifts :) But this weekend I really wanted to create something for myself, so I made a ruffle shirt! I have been crazy for ruffles lately, and it is adorable. My husband hates it and says that I look like a Nana, but I don't care, I am sporting it with pride!

I am so excited! Yesterday I was at the thrift store because I am looking for a men's button down to refashion, and I cam across a bag that had mickey mouse fabric in it...I was not really impressed, then I looked more closely and there was Buzz Lightyear fabric in the mix!!! My son has recently become OBSESSED with Buzz and all things spacey, so obtaining 2 1/2 yards of this fabric for $2.99 was something to celebrate! Now what to make...
